Meet Aaron

A local person helping families protect irreplaceable memories.

Past Forward Convert is built around personal service, fair pricing, and the belief that old family media deserves more care than a one-size-fits-all transaction. You work with Aaron directly from the first question to the final delivery.

Why I started

I started Past Forward Convert because preserving family memories should not feel out of reach.

The work is technical, but the reason people reach out is personal: first steps, weddings, grandparents, military service, school concerts, sports, holidays, and loved ones who have passed away.

The moment that changed how I saw this work.

Past Forward Convert started because of my own family. My mother-in-law had a lot of old family memories she wanted converted, and when she told me what it would cost through a large retail option, I was genuinely surprised.

It bothered me that preserving family history could feel so confusing and expensive for someone who simply did not know the process. Families should not feel stuck, pressured, or unsure when the thing they are trying to protect is irreplaceable.

So I learned how to do it. And if I was going to help other people relive family memories, I wanted to do it in a way that felt fair, easy to understand, and affordable. My goal is for people to feel relief when they realize those moments can be watched, shared, and enjoyed again.

It started with family

My mother-in-law had old family memories she wanted converted, and the price from a large retail option felt overwhelming.

I saw how confusing it can be

Most families do not know the tape format, the condition, or what a fair price should look like. You do not know what you do not know.

So I learned the process

I wanted to help people relive family memories in a way that felt easy, affordable, and respectful of what those memories mean.

Why this work matters

Every box has people, places, and voices that cannot be replaced.

I believe people deserve to relive the memories that make them feel whole: a grandparent's voice, a wedding day, a childhood birthday, a family vacation, or a moment no one has seen in decades.

The goal is simple: make the next step feel safe and clear.

Most customers do not know the format, condition, or best delivery option when they first reach out. That is normal. My job is to help identify the media, explain the options, and preserve what can be preserved with care.

Treat every tape as if it belongs to my own family.

Explain the process in plain language.

Never promise perfect results when the media condition is uncertain.

Keep pricing fair, clear, and built around what the customer actually has.

Help customers understand what they have before they commit.

What customers can expect

A careful process before your memories ever change hands.

The first job is not to sell you something. It is to understand what you have, explain the options, and make the handoff feel comfortable.

You work with Aaron directly

There is no call center, no confusing ticket system, and no pressure to buy before your questions are answered.

Your originals are treated as irreplaceable

Tapes, film reels, slides, photos, negatives, and audio recordings are handled carefully and returned after the project is complete.

The quote starts with what you actually have

A rough count or a few photos are enough to begin. You do not need to identify every format before reaching out.

Mail-in projects wait for a plan

If mailing is the best option, shipping instructions are sent after the request is reviewed so you are not guessing how to pack originals.
